All About

NCI Lee-on-the-Solent KAVS

Celebrating the Queens Jubilee

Our main safety emphasis is on keeping a lookout.  Operating 7 days a week, NCI Watchkeepers maintain a visual and radio watch over coastal waters during daylight hours.

Watchkeepers are constantly on the lookout for vessels and people who may be in difficulty.  They are always ready to spot an emergency, plot the position, and report details of an incident directly to Solent Coastguard so that an immediate rescue response can be launched. We can then help a lifeboat crew ‘home in’ on a casualty.

Coastal and Water Safety

Our Station performs regular patrols where we maintain a look out for your safety and opportunities to advise on Water Safety.  The station holds a range of water safety resources for adults and children, which are all free.  Do ask one of our Watchkeepers for advice about water safety or if you would like a talk on water safety for your group or organisation.
